2024 is going to be a big year for me, and I’m throwing a party to celebrate it!

I am getting ready to embark on some sparkly journeys, but before I go I need a little help to cross the finish line. Haughty’s Haus Party! A Vintage Barbie Soirée is part birthday party, part fundraiser, and part community hang. I was accepted into 3 festivals over the next 4 months, and IT IS ALL VERY EXCITING!

I am raising funds to help me get where I need to go, and you’re invited! Asking for help is hard, and I wanted to provide a little bang for your buck in return for helping me gather the resources I need to show up fully over the next few months. These are all incredibly important networking opportunities for me to further my burlesque career, as well as a chance to take some much needed rest.

The first festival is the Teaser Festival happening in New Orleans, LA January 18th - 21st. The second festival, the New Mexico Burlesque Festival, is taking place over my birthday week February 8th - 10th. I will be driving to New Mexico, and am hoping to spend a couple days in Santa Fe over my actual birthday, February 6th! And finally, I’ve been accepted in the RVA Burlesque Festival in Richmond, VA April 4th - April 6th.

Haughty’s Haus Party Details

Haughty has a ton of treats for you as part of your entry to the party! There is a pre-party photo-shoot opportunity with Kelly O’Donnell of Starseed Studios at the Dollhouse Northeast, and limited beverages and snacks will be provided throughout the evening. There will be door prizes with chances to win gift certificates from Tarot Reader and Author - Cassandra Snow, Tattoo Artist - Ophiuchus Tattoo, and Photographer and party sponsor - Starseed Studios. Also available will be a choose your own adventure gift certificate/custom pastie package from Hollie Dazzel of Dazzelties, and a chance to win 2 GA tickets to the next Golden Garter’s Revue on Feb 10th! My very best burlesque fam are going to perform for you Haus Party style, and my other life besties will be making the birthday cake, notable and award winning local pastry chefs Katie Elsing and Summer Stover. Afterwards, if you want to keep the party going we can all watch the Barbie movie in our D’Lish robes!

While I’m creating many opportunities for you to give me and the one’s helping me pull this together your money - I hope this will also be a space for everyone to relax, have a really good time and commune like the sparkly witches we all are, and generally do a little of all of my favorite things. Haughty and very very best friends will be gracing you with something a little different through out the evening. Stay on your toes and enjoy intersperced living room performances from Plum Ridiculous, Prance Dashing, Lucy B. Lucious, Sparkles DuJour. Haughty herself will end the evening with special interactive cake eating performance with participation from the highest bidder.
Katie Elsing, Executive Pastry Chef of Bellecour Bakery, will be making the birthday cake with our friend Summer Stover of Farmer’s Kitchen and Bar. We will be preparing an assortment of snacks and sweet treats, along with a themed cocktail for the evening.
The party will take place at The Dollhouse Northeast
There are two entrances to the Dollhouse Northeast. One at the front of the house, and one at the side entrance of the house. BOTH REQUIRE GOING UP A SHORT FLIGHT OF 4-5 STAIRS UPON ENTRY.
There is one bathroom located on the second floor of the house, also up a standard flight of carpeted stairs.
There is a ton of free street parking in the area, though you may have to walk a block or two depending on the events happening on 13th Ave NE that evening.

Space will be limited, and I will accept RSVP’s on a sliding scale with priority given to those who pay the fully suggested donation first.

Follow the link in the form or click here to pay the suggested donation of $45 (or more if you’d like…), and you will receive a confirmation email within 24hrs.
If you would like to donate at a level of less than $45 you will follow the instructions above, but will be added to a waitlist. Those who pay the full suggested donation amount will be given entry priority.
If the list fills up with fully suggested donations, I will be SOO grateful, and those on the waitlist will be notified if they can join the party later in the evening!
If I have the chance to open up the waitlist for the full party, I will contact those who reached out in the order that their donation was received.

It’s my party and we can do what we want to! (Within reason!) And don’t forget your cash!

You do not need to be present to collect your winnings. You don’t have to live in MN to donate, but door prizes will be limited to MN residents only.

Thank you for making it this far!

This has been a beautiful brain child that literally came together in 5 days, and I have all of you to thank for that already. I think transparency is important so keep going for more words about what I plan to use the money for!

My base goal is $2000. I’m hoping to raise that amount between suggested donations for entry, donations the evening of, and any other general help people would like to send my way between now and February. I have been able to take care of most of my expenses for Teaser Festival in January, but other life bills over the last half of 2023 have prevented me from securing all of the lodging I need, or the gas money I need, to get to New Mexico. I also still need to book my lodging and airfare for RVA, which I hope to do by the end of February.

I have two other minor goals of securing a new passport, and registering as a proper LLC in the first half of 2024. The help I receive from this event and leading up to it probably won’t get me all the way to these goals, but it will allow my future self the ability to more easily plan for these expenses.

I also have 3 or 4 more festival applications that I’m waiting on hearing back from that were submitted fall 2023. So who knows, I may still have more travel opportunities in 2024!
